We are pleased to introduce one of the last Hidden Gems of Lapland SUOMU which is an ideal resort location for our series of I night tours in search of the elusive Santa Claus. Suomu follows our traditional path of being located in the wilderness away from main roads, being a totally non commercialised setting with a small hotel lying literally at the base of a slalom ski slope and a selection of log cabins within walking distance. Here is this beautiful setting it is so easy to believe that this is truly one of the many homes that Santa has in this magical land of Lapland . There is no official category for this resort but in terms of hotel accommodation our personal classification would be tourist category. Whilst offering standards not as high as our other resorts of Olos and Salla (which is naturally reflected in the price charged) we nevertheless believe that the location, beauty and charm of the resort when combined with the level of services provided offers super value for money.

The Arctic Circle Hotel

The newly built Arctic Circle Hotel opened its doors to the public in December 2005 and draws its name from the idyllic location right upon the Arctic Circle in Suomu.

This quality hotel offers 17 bedrooms equipped with power shower and wc, telephone, and the latest entertainment quad Riga hotel system with movies and music on demand. Rooms offer 2 single beds and a sofa bed so are suitable for families for up to 4 persons. Sauna is available for use by hotel guests.

The 'three seasons' restaurant seats 240 persons and this will be the place where all your meals will be provided in buffet style.

Meals:
All meals are buffet style at the Arctic Circle restaurant and for dinner, children have the opportunity to select from their own buffet featuring items such as burgers, french fries and other firm favorites, or select from the adult buffet. Drinks are not included with meals and should be purchased at the time of your order locally.

Suomu Log Cabins

The Cosy Cabins of Suomu provide accommodation for up to 6 people which is ideal for families between 4-6 persons. These Cabins provide the culture and character you would expect to get from a traditional finnish log cabin. Each Log Cabin is equipped with a private shower, sauna, wc and a romantic log fire which is great after a day out in the snow. Each cabin has a small kitchen area and a warm air clothes drier, and are within walking distance of the Arctic Circle Hotel, where all meals are taken.
